Martha Jane Shideler
Originally from Los Angeles, Martha Jane Shideler has lived in Flagstaff, AZ for
nearly 50 years. After graduating from Northern Arizona University, she taught
English on the Navajo Reservation.
She has an abiding interest in archaeology of Northern Arizona and is fascinated
by all things Celtic. She plays the bagpipes and travels to Ireland and Scotland as
often as possible.
The owner of Aradia, Flagstaff's oldest independent bookstore, Martha lives in a
log cabin in the midst of five acres of pinon and juniper trees.
